Heading into London for a catch-up with some old friends we chose to meet up at The Delaunay.
Little did I know that it was also a big cycling day in the capital so walked out of Waterloo station to an onslaught of bicycles and closed roads, giving me the perfect excuse to walk and admire the stunning London skyline on the way.
Sitting on the corner of Aldwych and Drury Lane, this elegant european cafe-restaurant has a good location and a great menu selection.
We started with prosecco to celebrate our reunion (any excuse - well I do live in another country and we also had an engagement to toast to!)
And then I chose the large chicken salad - it was yummy and very generous.
Then we split a chocolate eclair.
Before finishing with peppermint tea - a healthy finish to combat the eclair!
