'Fire & Stone', Covent Garden

My sisters and I were up in London, enjoying the lights and a show.  Needed some nourishment, we headed to Fire & Stone in Covent Garden - their flagship restaurant.

I've been to Fire & Stone a couple of times before but not now for years, but as a big pizza fan I was keen to revisit.

We perused the cocktails menu first...

Settling on a French Martini, Espresso Martini and a 'Strawberry Delight' smoothie.

Yum!

We happily sipped our drinks, surrounded by Christmas parties - paper hats and Christmas jumpers everywhere you looked!

And some Bill's-esque decor...

Then it was down to serious business - choosing the food!

Having spotted some tasty looking calamari being served around us, we couldn't resist...

...accompanied by some delicious arancini.

Heavenly risotto balls filled with smokey bacon and mozzarella - check out these tasty morsels!

We debated over pizzas for a while - travelling around the world of flavours on offer.

Finally, we settled on a 'Boston' and 'Peking' with the larger, thinner, crisper base - basically so we could get more toppings!

The Boston was covered in slow cooked pulled pork, onion marmalade, roasted red peppers, mozzarella and coleslaw.

The Peking offered shredded crispy duck, hoi sin sauce, mozzarella and strips of cucumber and spring onion.

Good choices and we polished off the lot, before heading back out into the chilly December wind.
